MACHASEH is a feature documentary that follows the lives of four Sudanese asylum seekers who escaped genocide in their home country and fled to Israel.

The film shows the main characters, Mutasim, Walyaldin, Jah Konda and Nadeem as they struggle for identity in a country that has been reluctant

to give them status. We will see how they live on a day to day basis.

The film is being shot in several locations through out Israel from prisons to law schools.

From the run down buildings in South Tel-Aviv to the trendy cafes on Rothschild.

We document the daily struggle, the intense demonstrations, the solidarity between Sudanese and Israeli’s and the special moments that makes

these survivors uniquely special.
