Portugal

This thing starts in Porto

Madeira

So a tipy, rented by a mistake (or maybe not) brought us to the Portuguese island of Madeira,

which is nothing but bananas, sea, stars, illegal wine, Christmass songs and mountains

Sintra

Here is smth we learned here by the fire in a Portuguese farm:

The Clove Revolution! On 25 April 1974 (known today as a Freedom Day)- The revolution started by a military coup organized by the Armed Forces Movement who opposed the regime and was soon coupled with an unanticipated and popular campaign of civil resistance. This movement would lead to the fall of the Estado Novo and the withdrawal of Portugal from its African colonies.

Almost NO SHOTS were fired and when the population took to the streets to celebrate the end of the dictatorship and war in the colonies, carnations were put into the muzzles of rifles and on the uniforms of the army men by Celeste Caeiro.
